CualaNYC’s Irish Poetry Week brings an opportunity to experience Irish poetry in New York cultural institutions and even on the NY Waterway’s East River Ferry.


POETS AND PATRIOTS  It’s a rare gathering of poets visiting from Ireland as well as some who reside in New York. This extraordinary evening will feature poems and songs from Plunkett, MacDonagh, Pearse, Connolly, Ledwidge and Yeats as well as American poets such as Whitman, Kilmer and Moore, and lesser-known poets such as Maeve Cavanagh who were part of Ireland’s cultural revival. Poems from Heaney, Montague and Muldoon will also be featured. Curated by Eamon Grennan and Susan McKeown. This event is free but reservations are required  

Dánta Irish Poetry Enjoy Irish poetry on the NY Waterway’s East River Ferry read by poets, actors and musicians. We will start at Wall Street and travel north to Long Island City,  where we will stop before returning to Wall Street. Hosted by Irish poet Theo Dorgan.
